Formerly known as the Oyster Creek Regional Park, this unique blend of recreation and stunning outdoor landscapes is the perfect addition to any trip.

Built in 2007, the Ann and Chuck Dever Regional Park has been a local favorite for outdoor activities for almost two decades. The addition of a 23,000-square-foot recreation center in 2019 provided even more ways to practice a healthy lifestyle. Here are some of the things you can enjoy when you visit the park:

Birding & Animal Sightings

With over 485 species of birds, Florida is easily one of the most diverse bird habitats in the United States. This park gives you an up-close look at many of the birds that call the sunshine state their home, so be sure to bring your binoculars. Other animals, such as alligators and turtles, can also be spotted throughout the park.

Fishing

Fishing is another great reason to visit the park, with the large central pond being one of the focal points of the area. Bring your gear and get ready to reel in a big one!

Your four-legged friends can join in the fun at the Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Paw Park, located near the park boundaries. Dogs of all shapes and sizes can enjoy a large, grassy area with some off-leash exercise. Outside of the fenced area, there are also some dog-friendly trails where they can walk alongside you on a leash.

Nature Trails

The nature trails are a great way to get some exercise while enjoying the outdoor beauty of coastal Florida. Multiple trails are available and provide a range of options for all experience levels, from avid hikers to leisure walkers.

Picnic Areas

Bring your family, some hot dogs, and settle in at one of the many picnic areas throughout the Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park. There’s plenty of places to grill up some food and enjoy the scenic views as you eat. There are plenty of tables and pavilions available, as well as nearby restrooms and free parking.

The gymnasium provides almost 9500 square feet of fun and includes basketball, volleyball, and pickleball courts. There’s even room for an indoor game of soccer! Outdoors you’ll find tennis courts, a skate park, and a disc golf course. Sports enthusiasts will love the options and variety of activities available at this gym.

Pool

The Ann & Chuck Dever Regional Park pool provides eight heated lanes with plenty of room for a workout or a casual swim. You can also let your competitive side out in their 25-yard competition pool. A shallow play area is available for families and groups of all ages. Bring your floaties, because the pool is a can’t-miss activity.
